Coloring Options

The colors correspond to the highest evidence code observed in the region for the chosen bird species. Choose the color scheme that works best for your needs.

Geolocation

This will center the map and place a marker at your current location. It will attempt, for up to 10 seconds, to achieve an accuracy within 100 m.

Getting started

  • Click-and-drag to pan the map.
  • To zoom:
    • Use the zoom control in the upper-left corner,
    • or use the scroll wheel on your mouse.
    • or hold down the "Shift" key, then click-and-drag on the map to zoom to a specific area.
  • Click a point on the map for a list of the bird evidence in that region.
  • Change the mapped bird from the "Select a bird" tab in the menu, or by clicking a bird name in the regional evidence list.
  • Change map options from the "Map layers" tab in the menu.
